Teacher, communicator, organiser and facilitator in the field of curative education and social therapy, and for all
those in need of help.
50 years working in the Camphill Movement, including 33 years resident co-worker in the Sheiling School,
Thornbury, near Bristol. With wife Etta, houseparent of children’s residential houses. Class Teacher and Upper School
teacher with adapted Waldorf Curriculum for 28 years. Involved in community building, administration and
management. Co-ordinator and ‘Berufenen Dozent’ for the Camphill Course in Curative Education, responsible on an
England and UK level. One year as manager of a non-anthroposophical private care home for autistic adults with
challenging behaviour. 2 years in Camphill St. Albans working in an urban community with adults with special needs
and mental health issues. 6 years as Development Coordinator for Camphill Foundation UK & Ireland. Officially
retired since 2017, still very active freelance in various trustee roles and as consultant, advisor and lecturer, most
recently in Northern Ireland, Romania, Thailand and Tanzania.
