Karl König (1902–1966), physician, special education teacher, and pioneer of anthroposophical social welfare, was
awarded the Gold Medal of the Tutzing Star by the international society "Star of Humanity" in 1963. This award
particularly recognized his initiative in founding the Camphill Community in Scottish exile—a Christian community
movement that spread worldwide after the war, including to Central Europe.
Regine Bruhn will give an introductory lecture on the life and work of Karl König, and will also read excerpts from her
recently published biography of Karl König. Afterwards, there will be time for questions and discussion.
