Beneath the Knowing Stars

Poems and Autobiographic Miniatures

Book Overview

Poems can be traces of life’s bigger picture; they can depict inner experiences when observing places that life takes one to, people oneconnects to, events that occur on life’s path. They also can depict reflection and self-reflection which allow us to sense that it cannot possibly all be mere coincidence and without deeper interconnection. All details belong to a greater work of art.

This little volume is a collection of observations and reflections from the last few years that have manifested themselves as poems. As always, I like to write them down by hand, as this belongs to the whole process, however artistic it might be deemed to be and a new form of expression that arose for me during the same period became a collection of autobiographic miniatures.

They appeared while I was contemplating a more comprehensive autobiography, like small details of landscape, illumined graciously by rays of sun between fleeting summer cloudlets. I have only begun to feel my way towards some self-recognition and assume no proficiency in the process described, but invite the reader to open the book as a work in progress.
