On September 9, 1965, the Camphill Seminar was founded on Lake Constance, about a year and a half after Karl König moved his center of life from Camphill in Scotland to Brachenreuthe near Überlingen. From the very beginning, the development of Camphill training programs was inspired by the communities themselves. It is the result of many individual, communal, and institutional movements.This commemorative publication looks back on 60 years of educational work. It describes challenges, turning points, and visions—and tells how these led to the development of today's Camphill training colleges for social work and a diverse range of continuing education and training opportunities.
